Hey, My name is Matt Hartsky.

I'm a passionate outdoorsman and outdoor portrait, landscape, nature and wildlife photographer based out of Laramie, Wyoming.

I have been exploring the magic of outdoor photography for more than a decade, but have just recently returned to the pursuit. Despite my love for nature photography, I stopped taking photos after my oldest son, Fletcher, committed suicide in 2022. I felt like I shouldn't have such joys when he no longer could. I will always hurt that way.

But, thankfully, a couple years later, I have come to believe Fletcher wouldn't have wanted me to give up the things I love, which were many of the same things he loved. I have found I am most happy and least burdened by his death when I am in the wild, absorbed in the pursuit of nature and wildlife photography. While I try my best to capture the beauty of the wild in my images, they are certainly also therapy for me.

I am so grateful for the time I spend in the wild and I love to share not only the images I capture but telling the story and adventure behind it!
